Privacy Policy
What we collect
Your email address; a username; your birthdate, gender, city and bio; interests and profile prompt answers; photos; who you want to meet (genders, age range, distance); a private legal name and phone number; your matches, likes and passes, messages and date suggestions; reports, appeals and blocks; a notification token if you allow notifications; your Premium subscription status; and your approximate location, rounded to about 3 miles, if you choose to share it.
How we use it
To run the app: show your profile to people who match your preferences, deliver messages, send notifications and emails you allow or that concern your account or safety, and keep members safe. Your likes, passes and preferences are used only to build your own feed. We do not use your data for advertising or tracking, and the app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
Who sees it
Other members see your username, age, gender, city, bio, interests, prompt answers, approved photos and a rounded distance from them (never your location). Your legal name and phone number are private and are not shown to other members. Your private "How did it go?" answers about a date are never shown to the other person. Moderators can see reported content, photos waiting for review and appeals. We do not sell your data.
Who handles it for us
We use service providers to run Nuvana: Supabase (database, sign-in, photo storage and live messaging), Resend (sending email) and Apple (push notifications and subscription billing). They process data only to provide those services.
Sensitive information
Your gender and who you want to meet can reveal your sexual orientation. We use them only to show you to, and find for you, people who fit your preferences.
Photos
Location details in photo metadata are removed before upload. Photos are reviewed by a person before others can see them.
Your choices and rights
You can edit your profile, change notification settings, stop sharing your location, download a copy of your data (Me → Download my data) or delete your account, all in the app. If you cannot use the app, email support@nuvana.club from your account address.
Deleting your data
Deleting your account removes your profile, photos, matches and messages. We keep a record of banned email addresses so a ban cannot be avoided by deleting an account. Backups are removed on a rolling schedule.
Safety and legal requests
If we find or are told of illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, we remove it, preserve the evidence and report it to the authorities as the law requires. We may keep that information after account deletion for as long as the law requires.
Children
Nuvana is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 and remove such accounts.
