Child safety standards
Nuvana is only for adults aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and for any sexualised contact with minors.
What we do
- Age requirement. You must confirm you are 18 or older, and your date of birth is checked when you create a profile. Accounts that appear to belong to anyone under 18 are removed.
- Human review of photos. Every profile photo is reviewed by a person before anyone else can see it.
- Reporting. Members can report people, messages and photos from inside the app. Reports of a person who appears to be under 18 are prioritised.
- Immediate action. Moderators can escalate a photo in one step. The person is banned, their content is removed from the service, and the evidence is preserved.
- Reporting to authorities. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, as required by law, and cooperate with valid requests from law enforcement.
